At Özel Egemed Hospital, a training session on “Patient Safety, Patient Care Processes, and Safe Transfusion” was conducted for healthcare workers with the aim of strengthening quality standards, supporting patient safety practices, and ensuring the sustainability of safe healthcare delivery.
Topics Covered in the Training
- ✓ Current approaches to patient identification verification processes and safe care practices
- ✓ Safe blood and blood product transfusion practices
- ✓ Transfusion reactions and follow-up procedures
- ✓ Effective management of care plans and risk assessment processes (risk of falls, pressure injuries, and pain management)
Employee participation was actively encouraged through mutual evaluations of clinical processes. The effectiveness of the training program was assessed using pre- and post-tests, with the goal of improving employees’ knowledge, raising awareness, and supporting the sustainability of safe practices.
In addition, information was provided on strengthening standardization in clinical practice and on the processes for compliance with accreditation standards.
