Patient Safety Committee Meeting
Patient Safety Committee Meeting Held
We evaluate our processes to ensure safe healthcare services and make decisions aimed at reducing risks
With the aim of continuously improving the quality of healthcare services at our hospital and maintaining the highest level of patient safety, a “Patient Safety Committee Meeting” was held under the coordination of our Director of Quality within the General Management.
At the meeting, quality indicators and patient safety data from the previous period were evaluated in detail. Based on the results, the effectiveness of current practices was reviewed, and areas for improvement were discussed.
Process Improvements in Patient Safety
In the evaluations conducted, the downward trend in reports of adverse events and increased compliance with procedures were noted as positive developments. It was emphasized that the measures implemented in high-risk areas have contributed to patient safety.
Drug Safety Processes
Medication safety processes were evaluated in accordance with the principle of “the right patient, the right medication, the right dose.” Decisions were made to implement improvements aimed at strengthening existing control mechanisms in medication administration.
Identity Verification and Patient Identification Security
Patient identification verification processes have been revised.
It was decided to standardize identification verification using ID cards for outpatients and to ensure the consistent use of wristbands that match at least three parameters (first name, last name, date of birth, protocol number, etc.) for inpatients.
Physical Environment and Risk Management
As part of the site assessments, improvement efforts targeting physical spaces—particularly those related to the risk of falls—were discussed. It was noted that measures to enhance patient safety throughout the hospital will continue.
Risk Analysis and Process Management
At the meeting, it was also decided to implement the 2026 Patient Safety Risk Analysis Plan, with the aim of strengthening the approach to finding lasting solutions through early risk detection, process traceability, and root cause analyses.
Quality is not an end result; it is a never-ending journey.
At the end of the meeting, it was decided that all units would fully comply with this planned process and that training activities would continue without interruption.
At Egemed Private Hospital, we continue to protect your health using the most modern and safest systems.
