Management of Chronic Diseases and Preventive Medicine (Check-Up)
Regular Monitoring of Chronic Diseases and Preventive Medicine
Chronic diseases are conditions that cannot be completely cured but can be managed with proper medical care. One of the most important missions of the Department of Internal Medicine is to preserve the patient’s quality of life and ensure that multiple conditions are managed in a coordinated manner.

Management of Multiple Conditions and Medication Management (Polypharmacy)
In our older patients, in particular, heart, blood pressure, diabetes, and kidney diseases are frequently seen together. The interactions between the numerous medications these patients take (polypharmacy) and among the organs themselves are monitored at regular intervals by our internal medicine specialists. Medication doses are adjusted based on the patient’s current blood test results (such as kidney function) to prevent organ failure.
Preventive Medicine and Health Screening
In the field of medicine, the most effective treatment is the preventive measures taken before a disease develops. Internal Medicine is the primary specialty responsible for interpreting the results of Check-Up (General Health Screening) programs and guiding patients. Your Check-Up data (blood, urine, EKG, ultrasound, etc.) is comprehensively reviewed by our physician. Findings that have not yet reached the stage of disease but indicate a risk (such as borderline diabetes, mild fatty liver, etc.) are identified, and preventive lifestyle recommendations are provided.
