Congenital Anomalies, Trauma, and Reconstructive Surgery
The Plastic Surgery Clinic at Egemed Hospitals has the infrastructure to perform even the most challenging microscopic surgeries—not only for cosmetic procedures but also for the repair of physical trauma, tissue loss following cancer surgeries, and congenital deformities.

Congenital Anomalies
These are abnormalities that occur during fetal development. Cleft lip and cleft palate (hare lip) cause feeding and speech difficulties in infants. Our plastic surgeons ensure that children can lead a normal life by anatomically reconstructing these tissues in a manner appropriate to the child’s developmental stage (typically, cleft lip is treated within the first 3 months, and cleft palate within the first year of life).
Post-Traumatic Jaw and Face (Maxillofacial) Surgery
Serious lacerations, tissue loss, and fractures of the jaw, cheekbones, and nasal bones resulting from traffic accidents, falls from heights, or workplace accidents are meticulously repaired. The facial skeleton is reconstructed using titanium plates and screws, and surgical revision of deep facial scars is performed to facilitate the patient’s reintegration into social life.
Post-Cancer Reconstruction (Breast and Skin Tumors)
Skin Cancers: The wide excision of malignant tumors in the skin without damaging the surrounding healthy tissue, followed by closing the resulting cavity using a flap (shifting adjacent skin) or a graft (skin patch).
Breast Reconstruction: For female patients who have had a breast removed due to breast cancer treatment (mastectomy), a new breast is created using silicone implants or the patient’s own tissue (abdominal or back muscle) either during the same surgical session or months later, thereby restoring the woman’s psychological well-being.
