How to Create a Personalized Nutrition Plan? (The Initial Consultation Process)
At Egemed Hospital, meal plans are not simply "pulled off the shelf." To create a personalized roadmap tailored to each patient’s metabolism—which is as unique as their fingerprint—we conduct a highly detailed and scientific evaluation process during your initial consultation:
Dietary History and Lifestyle Assessment
During our first consultation, we will discuss your medical history, the medications you are taking, the foods you like and dislike, your sleep patterns, your work schedule, and your water intake habits in detail. The goal is to create a sustainable plan that integrates seamlessly into your life, rather than one that feels like a burden.
Interpretation of Clinical Laboratory Findings
There may be an underlying cause for why you are unable to lose or gain weight. When necessary, we will analyze your vitamin D, B12, iron, thyroid hormone (TSH), fasting blood sugar, and cholesterol levels to create a biochemical profile of your body.
Advanced Body Composition Analysis (BIA Measurement)
Your total weight on the scale alone doesn’t tell the whole story. Using the professional Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) devices at our clinic, we can accurately measure your body fat percentage, muscle mass, level of visceral fat, body water percentage, and basal metabolic rate.
Goal Setting and Creating a Diet Plan
Based on all this information, we work with you to set achievable and healthy goals. Your first personalized medical nutrition plan—tailored to your portion control needs, food exchange lists, and kitchen habits—will be prepared and provided to you.
