Clinic Overview
Egemed Pediatrics: Our Future Is in Safe Hands
Childhood is the most dynamic and sensitive stage of human life, marked by the rapidest physical and mental development. The Egemed Hospitals Pediatrics Clinic is organized to provide medical follow-up, diagnosis, treatment, and preventive healthcare services for infants, children, and adolescents aged 0–16, starting from the neonatal period, in accordance with international medical standards.
Our hospital is the parents’ greatest ally, thanks to our experienced pediatricians, healthcare staff who adopt an approach tailored to child psychology, and our modern medical infrastructure. Through our outpatient services, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and Baby Room, we offer a scientific and transparent partnership to support our children’s journey toward healthy growth.

Preventive Medicine and Healthy Child Monitoring
The fundamental principle of pediatrics is to closely monitor children’s physical, mental, and motor development before illnesses arise and to take preventive measures.
Growth and Development Monitoring
Children’s height, weight, and head circumference are measured regularly, and their percentile (growth curve) values are analyzed. Nutritional deficiencies or developmental delays are identified and managed at an early stage.
Immunization (Vaccination) Schedule
In addition to the standard vaccination schedule recommended by the Ministry of Health, our physicians plan and administer specialized vaccinations (such as meningitis and rotavirus) and meticulously record immunity levels.
Sensory and Functional Assessments
Hearing and vision, which form the foundation of the learning and adaptation process, are assessed in collaboration with specialists in the relevant fields to prevent potential sensory impairments.
Diagnosis and Treatment of Childhood Diseases
Children, whose immune systems have not yet fully matured, are more susceptible to environmental factors and infections than adults. At our clinic, we plan up-to-date treatments for our young patients using evidence-based medical practices:
Infectious Diseases
Rational treatment approaches are implemented to avoid unnecessary antibiotic use by accurately diagnosing upper and lower respiratory tract infections (influenza, bronchitis, pneumonia), middle ear infections, urinary tract infections, and childhood diseases characterized by rashes (chickenpox, measles, etc.).
Allergic Diseases and Asthma
We identify triggers and provide long-term management of respiratory and skin health in cases of food allergies, atopic dermatitis (childhood eczema), allergic rhinitis, and pediatric asthma, conditions whose prevalence is steadily increasing.
Digestive and Nutritional Issues
For digestive system issues such as infant reflux, persistent colic, childhood constipation, and loss of appetite, we provide medical evaluations and offer families guidance on proper nutrition.
The first 28 days of life for our newborns (the neonatal period) require specialized care. For babies born at our hospital or referred from other facilities:
• Neonatal Jaundice (Phototherapy): Jaundice levels are closely monitored, and safe light therapy is administered when necessary.
• Breastfeeding and Umbilical Cord Care: We provide education to mothers on proper breastfeeding techniques and newborn umbilical cord care.
• Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU): In critical situations such as preterm birth, respiratory distress, low birth weight, or infection, our intensive care unit—equipped with advanced life support devices—and our experienced team are there for our little heroes 24/7.
Child-Friendly Hospital Environment
Fear of hospitals and doctors (white coat syndrome) is one of the biggest factors complicating children’s treatment processes. The Egemed Hospitals Pediatric Clinic has been designed as a reassuring environment free from stress and anxiety, tailored to children’s colorful world. By gamifying the examination process, we help children form a loving bond with their doctors.
