Genital Aesthetic and Functional Surgery (Cosmetic Gynecology)
Cosmetic and Functional Gynecology (Genital Aesthetics)
Anatomical and functional deformities may occur in the female genital area due to genetic factors, aging, hormonal changes, difficult vaginal deliveries, or weight fluctuations. These conditions do not merely cause aesthetic concerns; they can also lead to chronic infections, problems in sexual life, pain when wearing tight clothing, and a loss of self-confidence, thereby significantly reducing a woman’s quality of life.
At Egemed Hospitals, “Genital Aesthetics” procedures are performed by specialized gynecologists using medical and reconstructive surgical principles that aim not only to address aesthetic concerns but also to restore tissue function and improve the patient’s psychological and physical well-being.

[ Labiaplasty and Labial Aesthetics ]
These are surgical procedures performed when the labia in the genital area are asymmetrical, sagging, or larger than normal.
- Labiaplasty (Labial Aesthetics): This procedure involves using microsurgical techniques to restore sagging and enlarged labia to their anatomical proportions. It helps prevent recurrent vaginal infections and resolves issues such as irritation and pain caused by tight clothing or during sports activities (cycling, swimming).
- Labia Majora Aesthetics: Volume loss and sagging in the labia majora caused by aging or weight loss can be addressed with fat injections or hyaluronic acid fillers to restore anatomical integrity. In necessary cases, excess skin is surgically removed.
- Labial Revision (Revision Surgery): This is a secondary (corrective) reconstructive procedure performed in cases of asymmetry or excessive tissue loss resulting from previous unsuccessful surgeries performed at other facilities.
[ Vaginoplasty and Perineoplasty ]
In particular, the vaginal canal may become more elastic and the muscle tissue may lose some of its tone due to multiple vaginal births, the delivery of a large baby, or advancing age.
- Vaginoplasty (Vaginal Tightening): This procedure involves the surgical repair and tightening of the loosened muscles and connective tissue in the posterior wall of the vagina. It is performed as a functional necessity in the treatment of urinary incontinence, uterine prolapse, and sexual dysfunction.
- Perineoplasty (Perineal Scar Revision): This procedure involves the surgical removal of scar tissue that has formed in the perineum—the area between the vaginal opening and the anus—due to poor healing of the incisions made during a vaginal delivery (episiotomy), followed by the anatomical reconstruction of the area.
[ Special Sensitivity and Medical Applications ]
- Clitororefection (Hudoplasty / Unhooding): This procedure involves the microsurgical removal of excess thick and folded skin tissue over the clitoris. It prevents the accumulation of chronic infections in the area and eliminates the anatomical obstruction that causes loss of sensation. (It is typically performed concurrently with labiaplasty.)
- Genital Skin Lightening (Skin Lightening): This procedure treats hyperpigmentation (darkening) in the genital area caused by hormonal changes, pregnancy, laser hair removal burns, or genetic factors by promoting cell renewal through specialized medical solutions, chemical peels, or laser treatments.
- G-Spot Augmentation (O-Shot / Filler): This procedure, performed by a physician in a clinical setting using hyaluronic acid or PRP injections, is designed to enhance tissue sensitivity in the target area in accordance with the patient’s anatomical and functional needs.
- Hymenoplasty (Hymen Repair): This reconstructive procedure, referred to in the medical literature as the repair of the hymen, is performed by the physician in accordance with microsurgical principles (using either permanent or temporary methods), based on the patient’s clinical condition and request, and within the framework of confidentiality.
